The philanthropy sector embodies the generosity that it strives to encourage in others. Professionals in philanthropy management join associations in order to share knowledge, attend conferences designed especially for them and learn more about philanthropy in today’s world.
This organization aims to create a virtual network for mutual aid and knowledge sharing in the field of philanthropy, guiding managers of charitable organizations on best practices, tax compliance and good governance.
It has three objectives:
- create and develop a community of practice in the field of philanthropy in Quebec;
- become a reference observatory for philanthropy in Quebec;
- managers of charitable organizations on tax compliance.
With over 400 members, the APGP seeks to provide an official and exclusive forum for recognized philanthropic managers, working in Quebec, where they can meet, discuss, advance their concerns and, most importantly, increase awareness about their profession among the general public. The conferences offered by the association are a good opportunity to learn directly from philanthropy professionals.
The Association has given itself the mission of advancing gift planning in Canada. Thanks to its courses, round-tables and guidelines for integrated and ethical gift planning, the CAGP aims to enable people to experience inspired giving through enlightened planning.
